Since 2004, MRI Steel Framing has been a leading manufacturer of heavy duty, traditional and equivalent flat-steel framing components. In addition to its line of traditional full gauge products, MRI manufactures two lines of equivalent products; the 27mil MRI Smart® 20 ga EQ stud and the 19/21mil PrimeWall® 20 ga EQ stud. We believe these equivalent product lines outperform all other 19mil or less “EQ” products on the market today.
We are a proud American owned and operated company led by a management team with over 150 years of combined industry knowledge and experience. MRI spans over a multi-regional area in the U.S. becoming the supplier of choice for many distributors, panelizers and contractors. This is due mainly to our exceptional quality, focused customer support, and continued manufacturing of conventional and equivalent flat steel products.

The Components
From purchasing raw material to quality checking every shipment, MRI is constantly improving its practices and procedures to better provide for its customers.
MRI’s quality starts with our raw material purchasing. Coil is purchased that meets or exceeds IBC 2018 standards for metal framing with no aftermarket coatings or cold-rolled reduction.
The Equipment
Our products are roll formed on the industry leading equipment; Bradbury and B&K/Formtek Super Mills. Using this state-of-the-art technology, we can produce exact lengths, knurl web flanges for ease of use and meet end users special requests.
All of this is done at speeds up to 500 LF per minute with minimal change overs for better lead times and faster service without effecting quality. To further enhance our full-service capabilities, we deliver this product on our own fleet of trucks and Moffetts.
