MRI STEEL FRAMING INTRODUCES NEW EQ PRODUCT LINE
Gary, Indiana (October 22, 2020) – MRI Steel Framing introduces its new PrimeWall® 20 Equivalent Stud and Track product line. This new line of 20-gauge “EQ” products was engineered to outperform all other 19mil or smaller 20-gauge equivalent products on the market today.
The PrimeWall® 20 EQ Stud has web sizes from 1.625 inches to 6 inches and a flange width of 1.344 inches. The design thickness is .020 inch (19mil) for the 2.5-inch, 3.625-inch and 4-inch studs and .0221 inch (21mil) for the 1.625-inch and 6-inch studs. The PrimeWall® 20 EQ Track has web sizes from 1.625 inches to 6 inches and leg lengths of 1.25, 1.5 and 2 inches. The design thickness is .020 inch (19mil) for all track sizes.

In addition to the new PrimeWall® 20 EQ Stud and Track product line, MRI Steel Framing continues to produce its MRI Smart® 20 Equivalent Stud and Track product line. The Smart® 20 EQ Stud has web sizes from 1.625 inches to 6 inches with a flange width of 1.25 inches. The Smart® 20 EQ Track has web sizes from 1.625 inches to 6 inches with leg lengths of 1.25, 2 and 3 inches. The design thickness for the Smart® 20 EQ Stud and Track are .0283 inch (27mil).
With these two 20-gauge “EQ” product lines, MRI Steel Framing has an “EQ” product for any “EQ” specified project. MRI Steel Framing continues to offer more non-structural framing options than any other manufacturer. In addition to the two different 20-gauge equivalent product lines, MRI also offers standard true-to-gauge non-structural framing products in 18mil, 27mil, 30mil and 33mil.
