MRI Steel Framing delivers unmatched quality through advanced manufacturing using Bradbury and B&K/Formtek Super Mills. This state-of-the-art equipment allows us to produce a complete range of cold-formed steel framing products and accessories with speed, precision, and consistency.

Our roll formers handle everything from 25-gauge drywall framing to heavy-duty 10-gauge structural members. We can manufacture web sizes from 1-5/8” to 16” and leg lengths from 1” to 4”. Our accessory line includes Furring Channel, RC-1, Z-Furring, U-Channel, Rolled Angles, and custom components.

With decades of experience in flat-rolled steel and coil processing—handling over 350,000 tons of steel coil annually—MRI brings deep industry expertise to every product we make.

MRI Steel Framing certifies that all manufactured stud and track products meet the requirements of ASTM C645 (non-structural) and ASTM C955 (structural). Comprehensive section property and load tables are available in our catalog and upon request.

MRI products are manufactured using Certified Steel with minimum yield strengths of 33 ksi or 50 ksi, depending on the application. Technical data is based on AISI S100-16, S220, and S240 “North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Structural Members” and meets the requirements of the IBC 2021 Building Code

Key quality assurance details:

  • Only certified steel is used in production—ensuring traceability, performance, and consistency.
  • Third-party test results and steel mill certifications are available upon request.
  • Structural load and property tables have been reviewed and stamped by a licensed professional engineer with expertise in cold-formed steel framing.

Please note: All specifications and data provided in MRI and SFIA catalogs serve as general design guidance. Final application and load suitability must be independently verified by a qualified engineer or architect for each specific project. MRI assumes no liability for misuse or misapplication of data. We reserve the right to update or modify materials and specifications without prior notice.

All MRI steel framing products follow a four-part coding format that describes key product dimensions:

Example: 362 S 125 – 18

  • 362: Web width (3-5/8″) — 362 x 1/100 in.
  • S: Member type — S = Stud/Joist, T = Track
  • 125: Leg length (1-1/4″) — 125 x 1/100 in.
  • 18: Minimum base metal thickness in mils (0.018″)

All dimensions are in hundredths of inches unless otherwise specified.
